July Visit to Seattle

I took some time to go visit my little niece and her family in Seattle again this past weekend. Although, before I got there, I had been back and forth to Seattle about 5 times in the previous 3 days! Such was my flying pattern, as mentioned earlier. Here are some delightful pictures to share with you all!
Gotta' love the eyebrows!
Ok, so I was holding her, and she was fussy. Then her daddy took a turn, and she fell asleep within about a minute. I guess daddy has that touch with her! :o )
Although she doesn't look too excited about it, she did look very pretty in her Sunday dress.
The next day, we went for a walk around Green Lake with Joy and Caleb. It was nice to be in the sunshine and get some fresh air! Airplane air gets old REAL quick.

Then the "moms" had a little chat, and Caleb and I posed for the camera and such things as to amuse us in the meantime! Nice smiles, tho'!
Then there's the little superstar. Yes, she, too, has a beautiful smile and is quite generous with it!
This was in the grocery store shortly afterwards. She's so fun right now!
She also loves to sit under her play tunnel and entertain herself. She is a little wiggle-worm!
Playing peek-a-boo with her over the top of the tunnel.
And one final shot, although there are MANY more. Hope you enjoy them!

Beautiful Feet

How lovely are the feet of them. . . .
. . .who get a pedicure for their birthday! Thank you, Debee!!

Sleepless in Seattle

For the first time in all my working history, I actually got to spend the night in Seattle! The sleepless one, however, was Chiara Nicole! You see, God just happened to arrange a need for my sister to go to work very close to where I was staying at a hotel, and she needed a babysitter. :o ) So, I took care of Chiara while she did her work stuff. Chiara was supposed to sleep for a couple hours, but unfortunately got woken up by the telephone ringing. We spent the next hour or so taking pictures, trying to get back to sleep, and not succeeding until the about an hour before Shar came back. She has beautiful long eyelashes, but you can't really see them until you get up close to her face.
Since this was my first time actually working and being able to see her, I had to get a picture of her and I with my uniform on. Well, she WAS sleeping by then, so we didn't pose too well, but its the thought that counts, right?!

Birthday?

A lot of people have been asking where I spent my birthday. Nothing too exciting. I was on standby at the airport (which means I am there in case anything goes crazy and a flight attendant misses their connection), then I was sent to Denver and ended my day in Las Vegas. I got there so late, and left so early the next morning that I didn't even leave the hotel. I did have a REALLY great sleep, tho', so that's a bonus! So, I consider my birthday celebrated with the previous pictures!

A Weekend with Friends!!

What a joy it was to meet up with some dear friends I used to work with in Germany! Karen came down from Ft. St. John, BC, Rachael came from Princeton, MN, and Melisa hosted us all in Pinon Hills, CA! It was WONDERFUL to be together again!

We had 4 days together, and chose to go to SeaWorld the 2nd day. Although I got some incredible shots there, I think this one is my favorite out of all of them! What a fantastic day!
We then headed to Oceanside to go to the beach for the day. Ah, the joys of self-portraits! Good thing I have long arms! :o )
The best thing about the weekend: seeing the delight of Karen and Rachael as they experienced new things in Calfornia! Priceless!
We spent our final day going to church (yeah!), and hanging out in the afternoon. I left yesterday to come home (I'm off to work in a couple hours), but they're headed to Disneyland today!
I love it when God encourages us by bringing "friend-refreshment" into our lives. I needed that!

Happy 4th Everyone!

I just got back from celebrating our freedom in Foster City, a couple blocks away from where I go to church. It was a fun night spending time with some friends, both old and new. This is Tiffany, Victoria, and I waiting for the bathroom. This actually took a large chunk of our night! Lots of people.
Two good friends, Kim and Danielle. They're both as tall as I am!
Another tall friend, Jen. She was one of the first people I met at church when I first started coming to CPC.
And these are some new friends, Leon and Cheryl. This is just a cute picture of them.
Although Foster City did a great job at fireworks, I got the most enjoyment watching God's fireworks. As you can see, it was gorgeous. And right in the middle was a sliver of the moon, which actually was pretty big.

HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!

Today I went to the grocery store and bought some flowers to celebrate the fact that I'm Canadian, and can't do a thing about the celebration here in California. So, I bought some flowers. Today is also a special day for another reason. . .today is Bea Friesen's birthday. She is another reason I bought flowers, 'cause that's something she taught me when I lived with her in the dorm. She definitely knew how to make a house a home. So, happy Canada Day, and Happy Birthday, Bea. I wonder if they have birthday parties in heaven. . . .
