5 Year Engagement

Last Friday, Len and I celebrated 5 years since he asked me to marry him.  And, for those of you who don't know the story, I have chosen to wear my grandmother's wedding set with my own wedding band, so my engagement present from him at the time was the necklace.
So, what did we do for that memory?  My hubby helped me wash my windows and screens, as I've been wanting to do them for some time, and recently injured my shoulder.
I was a happy camper!
Then, after we took care of the chores, we went to our favorite Mexican restaurant (which he has been going to since he was a teenager working at the grocery store next door), and had a quick bite.  And a YUMMY virgin pina colada!
I'm so thankful I said yes to this man.  He's my favorite.

Another HF Event

We had the privilege of joining with our Hellfighter friends again for an event super close to home.  The town of Crosby (where Len grew up) was celebrating 200 years, and we joined in the parade to celebrate!

The guys rode their bikes, and the ladies walked or threw candy from a jeep.

The only problem. . .IT WAS HOT!!!  So, if we enter other parades, it will depend on the weather.  But a ton of people got Jesus tracts with their candy, and even had a chance to chat with the group later in a tent set up for just that.  It was a super time to share with our own community!

Time for a Ride

The weather in Texas this summer has been record high for record lengths of time.  Therefore, this motorcycle rider didn't like to ride without air conditioning.   Finally, 4 months later, it got cool enough to enjoy it again!

Eddie wanted a ride, too, but this is as close as he got.  And a nice sky view on the way home.
