The day before I left for Colorado, I buzzed over to Emily's house real quick and congratulated her on her new home. She took a picture of us right before I left, and I thought it was pretty nice, so I'll put it here, too!

Meet the Family

For the first time in a while, we were able to gather together on dad's side of the family (minus a few others who were missed!!) and introduce them to our newest member!

Of course, there were other cousin hugs, too. . .

. . .even ones that were forced! (Awe, you know you love me, Skip!! :o )

Uncle Steve and Aunt Etta were celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary the very next day, so we celebrated a bit for that, too (and they sang a late happy birthday to me!). Congratulations on 30 years!!!

Graci was passed from person to person. Even all of the guys got a turn!

A Long Layover in SFO

I just got home from a long couple of days, but I had to post these pictures real quick for the sake of a Mom over in Germany! :o )

After which I flew all night and headed back home. Nice sunrise from the cockpit again!

Another Year. . .

I celebrated another year of God's faithfulness in my life on my birthday this week. . .and my sweet roommate was kind enough to get me an ice-cream birthday cake! YUMMY!

Let's Go to Vegas!

So, personally, Las Vegas is not my favorite destination. Flying to and from there, however, can be quite interesting! :o ) Yesterday we had to "hold" (fly around for a bit in a circle) because Air Force One, the president's 747, was taking off in Vegas when we were scheduled to land there, so we circled around the Grand Canyon for a while. Not a bad view, if you do have to circle!

Then, on the way home on the red-eye, I saw the sunrise from my window.

Unfortunately, I didn't see much because of the window distortion, SO, I went up to the cockpit and took this movie.

Another SFO Layover

I had another layover in San Francisco, and this time, I devoted most of my free time to getting together with my former Roomie, Debee, who is also a flight attendant, and happened to be in town for the afternoon!

Since my birthday is coming up this month, and I missed her birthday last year, we decided to get each other pedicures (kind of a tradition). It was a GREAT way to relax after a long day of flying. Thanks, Roomie!

SFO must be one of the funnest airports to watch planes take off and arrive at, especially right along the water like this!

She is now in heaven, and I've always wondered if they celebrate birthdays there, too. Anyway, somehow I always am reminded of her on this day.
