FRA vs MUC @ Christmas Markets

I had the privilege to go to BOTH Frankfurt and Munich, Germany, this last month during their Christmas market season.  The first stop was Frankfurt.

Then, for the first time since we got married, my hubby joined me in Munich for theirs!
It was a wonderful time, and we spent the evening "grazing" at about 6 different food booths throughout the evening, because I wanted him to try all my childhood favorites!

Although we look a little chilly, the night was perfect--no rain and the temperature stayed above freezing while we were walking around

Out of all the different Christmas mugs available to drink the traditional "Gluhwein" in, this is the one Len came home with.  A fun memory for both of us!
Just like to give God credit for HOW Len arrived to and from Germany. . .the flight was oversold by -3 when we headed to the airport. . .he got on. The flight was weight-restricted on the way home (which means empty seats, but too heavy), but they "just happened" to miscalculate some cargo that was supposed to be on it, and pulled the cargo, so he got on!

Kitchen Takeover

I had the opportunity to try authentic home-made Mexican street tacos made by one of our son's friends.  I did the decorating. . .
He did the cooking!  It was yummy!

A Few Parades

We got to participate in a few parades in the area handing out Christmas tracts to people along the route, praying and sharing Jesus with people.  It was fun!
The first one was with the Hellfighters, whom we went to Sturgis with this summer.
The second one was with our church
God showed off a little before the "earthlings" started their light parade.

Our church bought THOUSANDS of these light necklaces and handed them out all along the route, along with a tract and an invitation to the church on Christmas eve.
They were EVERYWHERE!

These two floats especially cracked me up, because they seemed very TEXAS style!
