Moving Day!
What an incredible day this has been! Started out with a very bad thunder storm that literally lasted for hours. My sleep was sporadic at best and I had to get up early in order to finish packing the last minute items that I used until the very end. Although I didn't sleep much, I woke up feeling rested. I finished everything in plenty of time to go pick up the truck and wait for my help to come. Because of the storm, the help was late getting there but by the end of the time I had 3 guys to help me move. Not only had the rain stopped, but the sun eventually came out. It was cool enough however for us to load the truck without being too uncomfortable. The truck was just large enough to fit all the stuff but there were still some items that needed to go in a different vehicle. 1 of my helpers owned a pickup truck so we had plenty of space. Once everything was loaded we headed out to the house. We had the truck unloaded in approximately 20 minutes. It's amazing what not having 3 flights of stairs can do to speed up the process! In the meantime my friend, Carrie, came to the house to wait for the delivery of my refrigerator. She stayed here for hours while I returned the truck and picked up more things from the apartment to put in my car. She even helped unpack some little things. I soooo appreciated her help. About to start my first night in the house. Funny moment when I banged into the wall and cringed thinking the neighbors would be disturbed. LOL! No more! I hope to have pictures soon, but the house is a mess of boxes & stuff everywhere. I need to clean it up first! ;)

Good Fortune
Ok, this is just way too funny! Today was a big day for me, as I signed all the paperwork and received the keys to my very first home (pictures will follow once I get the place spiffed up and decorated)! To celebrate, I stopped by Panda Express for a quick bite.
THIS was the fortune from the cookie!
MAY IT BE SO!!!!!

A Flight to Rio de Janiero, Brazil
So, some of the trips I get are so random that I think only God could be the one to arrange them. Such was the case of my last flight, where I got to stay in Rio for an extra day because the airplane didn't come in when it was supposed to due to a mechanical problem. Once again, blessed beyond measure to stay in such nice accommodations.
This was my view when I went to dinner the first night.
Then, when I came and sat by the pool the next day. . . .
This was my view for a few hours.
And this was the view from my hotel room, just as I was getting ready to leave to fly back.
