I realize I haven't been putting much on this blog besides pictures of Chiara, but, trust me, that is all the excitement I've had this month! I had 19 days off in a row because the company chose not to fly me. In fact, all the people who are on reserve are in the same boat, and we all are not being used. So, to occupy my mind, I am enjoying more time with my niece!!
I think she looks like a precious moments doll in this picture!
She's just starting to eat "real" food, although she hasn't quite got the hang of it. Most of it gets around her mouth (notice the shiny nose)!
We had a fun visit with Jillian, a friend from BFA, who now attends SPU.
Chiara was thrilled to hang out with her for a little bit.
Of course, it always helps to have an animated mommy!

Bountiful Blessings
My day ended today with a surprise visit from a friend of mine from Germany, Anja, who "just happened" to be in the Bay area, but ended up being exactly what God wanted her to be in my life at this time. It was super. Gotta' love those God-times of fellowship!
Not sure why she's pouting, but a cute pic, none-the-less.
I'm trying out a new program for my pictures. This might just work!

Special Visitors in SFO!
I had some special visitors in SFO today. . .and I'm not talking about the seagull, although he did visit. Poor guy couldn't eat through the glass!!
. . .nor am I talking about the Canadians represented in this picture. . .
I'm talking about Melisa!!! And her baby, who I fondly refer to as "Joey"! This is me giving instructions to the photographer. . . ."Make sure you have this little bump in the picture!"
He did pretty well. . . :o )
Then the photographer got in a picture. . .this is Joel, Joey's Daddy.
I told them to compare stomachs sticking out. . . .
. . .and then sucking it in. Joey made this a little hard for Melisa! ;o )
We took these pictures at the Rose Garden portion of Golden Gate Park, then took time to stop and smell the roses. . . .
(Notice my new pet fly in this one. . . )
Can't you just see the velvet?!!!
Great color.
Then we had to leave, but it was fun to see my dear friend, Melly-issa!!

A Layover in SFO!!!
For once, I wasn't the one with the layover! It was my sis, Shar, and her family. :o ) Here they are coming out of customs.
And this is my sweetie, little Chiara. She's so fun! Notice the toes in the bottom corner of the pic
She likes her auntie, too!
I love those baby blues! Well, it was only a little over an hour, but I'll take whatever I can get!

Girls Night Out!
Last night mom and I were invited to try out a restaurant that my friend, Dave, works at. He's one of the dessert chefs, and made this beautiful creation (Black Forest Crepes) for us to enjoy. It was exquisite!!
Mom wanted a picture of him in action, so he smiled (somewhat embarrassed, I'm sure) for the camera. I'm so blessed to have he and his wife, Becky, around the SFO area.

Quick Visit To Seattle
I had one day off in between flying and I was able to escort "Omi" up to see her granddaughter! :o ) Although it was a very short visit of only a couple hours, I still snuck in some picture taking. After all, I AM a proud auntie!!!
Chiara Nicole wasn't always cooperative in front of the camera. I love this shot. Omi is having a great time, and Chiara is saying, "Yeah. Whatever."
Every once in a while, we caught her off guard with the camera and got a nice little drooly smile.
I, of course, was facinated by the little shoes all lined up under her bed. They're so tiny, really!
But, with feet this cute, who needs shoes?!!
Evelyn, a little friend that Sharla takes care of every once in a while, was also there. We enjoyed playing in the park together!
A Trip to Germany
I had quite a few days off, and I took advantage of that time to have a visit to BFA for a week or so. I got to visit with my good friend, Gail! :o ) And enjoy some wonderful German sights, like:
. . .the covered bridge that I walked on between the grocery store and the middle of town in Kandern. . .
. . .the pottery market displaying hand made pottery from the region around Kandern. . .
. . .the beautifully decorated(with flowers)fountain in the middle of Kandern. . .
. . .the church where I have sung in concerts, attended weddings, attended graduations, etc.
I even had a chance to film the churchbells ringing on Sunday morning!
