Another Butterfly Day

We had a double-date on Saturday with some new friends and returned to a previous location that we enjoyed a few years ago.  The beauty of God's creation is still very evident!

The village
There were signs all over saying if you found a butterfly with a number on it to post it on instagram.  I found 2, but don't post on instagram.  Oh, well.  Considering the room they fly around in is 3 stories high and quite large, and they're so tiny, I can see why they need help locating them!

This guy was HUGE.  Not sure what the inside of his wings looked like though.

These two were flying around each other.  The one is eating sugar water from the sponge at rest (camouflaged).  The other one, although blurry, shows the flying colors.

There were a couple tortoises, too.
Mid air flight. . .their bodies look so straight out there!

Colorful, but deadly, frogs in an aquarium
This guy was a teaser again.  Very beautiful. . .
. . .but you couldn't tell!
Look at that incredible camouflaged!

This one's blurry, but can anyone else see Darth Vader?!!
A fun day with some fun friends!

Eugene, OR Layover

I had the fabulous privilege to spend a long layover in this beautiful place, literally right along the river.  I merely had to walk around my hotel, and there was a walking/biking path.

See that?  It's the hotel I stayed at!!
The water was SOOO clear.
But, THEN I found THIS!!

A beautiful rose garden within about 20 minutes of the hotel along the riverbank.  The smell was breath-taking, as well as the MANY beautiful flowers.  (I may have overdone it just a wee bit on the picture taking for all the flowers I saw!)

Definitely a repeat location if I can arrange it!

Seattle Visit August

This post is long overdue, but I got to see the girlies again in Seattle. . .minus the oldest because she was at camp this week.  But we had a great time anyway!  The girls got a little spoiled with a treat from Oma via Tante.
Useful art projects for a weekend sale that weekend
Participating in soccer practice for the youngest
Coached by her daddy (almost cut off)
And, of course, the delights of Teddy, their newest family member.  He actually remembered me from previous visit a few months earlier and didn't freak out as badly.
