Christmas Celebrations
On Christmas Eve, I got to be home for the day, so I took advantage of all the church services going on and attended 3 of them!!! That evening, I hosted a party for my friend and his kids who needed a place to celebrate the evening. We had a fun time together, and ate lots of yummy food.
I then worked on Christmas day
but flew to IAD, where I used to be based. I snuck into the tail end of this family's party, the family who adopted me while I lived there!

My former roommate, Emily, who was ever so kind to share her family with me.
Gingerbread Visit in Seattle
I got my very first downtown Seattle layover last week just before Christmas, and everyone from my family was OUT OF TOWN!!! So, I met up with my bro-in-law's mom, Vivian, and we toured the town!
I was staying in a hotel right across the street from a Gingerbread display to raise money for diabetes research, so we stopped there first. These displays were AMAZING!
Then we found a waffle place that served us some sweet and savory waffles for brunch. It was YUMMY! I had to fly all night, so our visit was short and sweet, but it was fun!
Then I got a shot from my hotel window that night. . .
And found a princess dress. . .

San Diego Layover
I spent the night in San Diego last night, and although the night was a short one, I still had to stand on the balcony of my room and take pictures of the Christmas lights in the city!
Oh, and a beautiful sunrise this morning, too! (Click the panorama to enlarge)
The hotel had a nicely decorated tree!
