P.S. A Little More Europe

I just got home from a layover in Munich, where I entertained my friend, Emily, and another new-hire flight attendant, Nolan, by playing tour guide for a few days!  Emily spent the weekend with my parents (see previous post) and then rode the train to Munich to meet me on Tuesday.  That afternoon, she, Nolan and I headed to Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial, a very sobering place, for which no picture could truly describe.  Therefore, I'll start with evening pictures on a more lighter note, and go from there.
PROST!
After a long afternoon, sneaking in a quick visit to Marienplatz . . .
. . .enjoying some authentic Apfel Strudel. . .
. . .and some night life.  But not too much, because we had a busy day planned for the next day, too.
We enjoyed a relaxed morning at the hotel, then made our way back to Marienplatz before heading to the Hauptbahnhof to catch a train.

Then we rode the train (while enjoying a picnic lunch) and headed to Salzburg, Austria!
Talk about a gorgeous day.  It couldn't have been better.
The Salzach River
Had to prove she made it to this country, too!
This is the house that Mozart was born in.
We found it quite by accident, actually.  I saw it while waiting for the two others to finish up some quick shopping.

Salzburg Cathedral
Em posing by the statue of Mozart, me getting the view of the hills, too.
And then, I got this great shot of the cathedral on our way up to the Fortress and. . .MY CAMERA BATTERY DIED!!!!  I hope to share more pictures once I get some from Nolan and Emily, but for now, one last shot of the three of us.
