Another HF Event

The Lady Hellfighters (HF) from Houston went on a ministry to visit some ladies who were in 4 prison facilities in Gatesville, TX.  We joined more people and supporters from another HF unit in NE Texas, and had a fabulous time together.

In order to cover all 4 facilities, we broke up into 4 groups.  These dear ones were mine.
No pictures could actually be taken in the facility, but afterwards we shared and had a meal together.

These three are some of my favorites.
The Houston ladies who traveled the farthest.
All in one vehicle, too!
Every time I go on these events, I learn more about my Jesus, and His generous love for me that overflows into others (TOTALLY NOT ME!!!) by His Holy Spirit.  Much is also learned by rubbing shoulders with those who minister side-by-side with us.

Houston Flooding

I am currently sitting in my truck waiting for a thunderstorm to pass because the rain is too heavy, even this close to my front door

So, I thot I'd show you about the storm that made national news as soon as we got home.  This picture was taken of our living room around 11am the first day.  It was DARK

That's when most of the rain fell in the first 24 hours

Thankfully we live on an incline and the water runs downhill to the street in front of our house...except for the small pond we always seem to gather out back

Quickie Seattle

Mom and dad had been telling me about this pheasant that kept coming into the yard.  I looked for him the whole time I was there.  Finally the morning we were leaving, he and his girl showed up!

Beautiful sunrise again!

Len and I split up in Billings and I headed to Seattle to see the fam.  Unfortunately the only one I got a picture of was this guy, who happened to come pick me up from the train station.
Seattle in the springtime.  I can't believe how loaded the trees are!

I also was able to harvest some of my sister's rhubarb to bring back to Texas because they don't know what that is here.
Her plant is gorgeous!

Montana Visit

Ahh, my BIG SKY COUNTRY, how I love your sunrises and sunsets!  My sweet hubby and I made it back to Montana in April for a visit to the 'rents.  This time it was reno time and we came to help get them into their new-to-them house

Always great to see the local advertisements on my favorite store
And my favorite pizza!!  (and yes, it WAS cold enough to keep the hat on inside!)
Reno is never picture perfect, so here's a little glimpse of one of the things that was done.
And, of course, spoiled rotten my mom with yummy food.  This was a full-on turkey dinner and all the fixin's!
Including this guys favorite. . .
Cherry Cream Cheese Pie!
We snuck out to the lake on Sunday afternoon
And met some locals.  The RACK on this guy!!  Wow.
Did I mention gorgeous skies?!!

We finally got to the point of adding some furniture, and it was enjoyed by one and all
And did I mention great food?  RIBS!!
This one was shared with some dear friends
Long story short, we were able to help mom and dad get into the house just in time to spend the night ON THEIR 51st WEDDING ANNIVERSARY!!!!  Pretty special!

Delayed Easter Egg Hunt

I had to spend some time with some of my fav's while I was there.  I had brought some German chocolate eggs leftover from Easter and so had a little hunt--3 times actually--for the enjoyment of these littles.

I lived in this house with these dear ones for my first 6 months when I moved back to MT.  Always fun to catch up.

The hardest part--I wish I lived closer to be more involved in their lives
