And. . . They're MARRIED!!!

It was a busy, busy day, but we got it done!  Lelen and Ash have been waiting since their wedding got postponed in November (Covid) to get married.  We finally did it!  It was much smaller than planned and not in the original location that was planned, but it was a great day.
Some small mementos for the day, including pearls from her Grandmother, and a "six-pence" to put in her shoe that her mother put in her shoe on her wedding day

Brothers--or, as they call themselves:  BRUDDERS!

Aunt Joy came for a visit from LA.
And this, my friends, is my life in a nutshell. . .although it is my favorite picture of the day!
The beautiful bride, Ashlin (Ash), and her mama

And her little brother, also known as "ring security"
I think she's ready to get this done!

Such helpful guys cooling the bride off with their hats.

Of course, my grand-dog, Bella, also had to come see what all the fuss was about
Len and I giving them their first clue to their honeymoon, planned by yours truly, with no knowledge of where they were going for the rest of the week until they got to their hotel room for the first night!

Here Comes the Bride!

On Saturday, we celebrated my soon-to-be daughter-in-love's Bridal shower.  Although it was mostly virtual, there were some fun things, too.

I asked the guests to send actual presents so she could open them @ the shower.
She got a good amount, with more still to come
Afterwards, the 4 of us who were there in person (maid of honor, myself, and future grandma in law) had some snacks and treats.
Although the technology took us 40 minutes PAST starting time to figure out, I think she felt special, and that was worth it all.  Wedding March 14th!!

All Night Prayer

So, it might not seem that impressive to post this, but it was incredible to be a part of.  This was the second all night prayer meeting (7p-7a) that our pastor has called for.  This time, there were multiples of us who volunteered to read the Bible for 30 minute stretches out loud. . .from cover to cover.  And, the whole Bible was read throughout the course of the night.  These were my time slots.

So, we just stood and read on the side of the room at these stands, surrounding those who were praying.  It felt like our reading of the Bible was building a defensive shield around those who were praying.

Some people didn't make it the whole night through, especially the littlest ones.  But the parents came prepared for that.  Then there was a little girl, less than 2 years old, that decided to stay up past 3 a.m., 'cause she didn't want to miss anything!!
Incredible to be a part of.   Only God knows the full results of such an encounter with Him.
