My Favorite Gift: Honeymoon Prep

When I found out the bride and groom were going to spend their first night as a married couple in her house, I asked the bride for permission to "spice things up" a bit. These pictures are the results.
Front door
Dollar treasure hunt
Welcome home gifts
Breakfast table
Breakfast basket
A bag of treats for their drive the next day
welcome arch
1 Cor. 13 in heart deco
Hallway leading to bedroom
Bathroom lights
Bathroom gift basket
Balloons were actually in the shower hidden behind the shower curtain
Dresser lights
Bed deco with petals & Lindt chocolate
Bed verse
Listerine breath strips
Oh, what fun it was!  The next day, the bride and groom honked at the car I was riding in, and pulled us over on their way out of town.  The groom's response when he saw me:  "Shawna!!!  Best gift EVER!!!"  :)  Needless to say, my hour and a half spent away from the reception was WORTH EVERY MINUTE!

Pre Wedding Prep

First of all, these ladies have been praying for my family and I for YEARS. . .literally. Elizabeth will turn 103 in 10 days. I had the privilege of joining the two of them for a prayer time on Wednesday.
I then met the crew for lunch @ Som-A-Dis.  Sibling love!
And, of course, couldn't miss out on home-made Rocky Road ice cream, so dessert @ Euell's.

Tonight was rehearsal night.  The blushing bride!
A prayer time surrounded by all their friends and family
One proud mama!
Awwe.  I think I'll cry tomorrow
Two buddies from years past
Another beautiful family who helped organize the whole rehearsal dinner
Thanks servers!
