Turkey Pull: Feeding 500...or So...

Yesterday we volunteered @ our church to helping the meat of 80 turkeys off the bones in preparation for our Thanksgiving meal for the people we help out in a poor part of Houston.  It was a lot of work & we didbt quite finish because the turkeys weren't all done by the time we had to leave, but it was a great time to get to know some new friends

The guys hax big smokers outside in thw church parking lot to cook all the turkeys.

Glasgow Peeps!

I just spent a week of vacation in my home town of Glasgow, Montana.  This was often my view in the evening. . .joining my friend and having heart to heart chats.
I met this cutie for the first time & enjoyed every minute snuggling her.

I got to help take care of her brother, too.  We built a fort

Sister fell asleep with DoDo (great Grandpa)
Fun times with YoYo on the tablet.  I think he knows more about that than she does!!
Then I was invited to a "thank you" dinner for helping at our friends' store for their yearly open house.  Good food & good fun.

My date for the night. . .they had some great music playing, so we danced for almost an hour!
She took a little nap, then woke up all smiley
I could have filmed this little guys every interaction because they were all great, but this is pretty cute!

Scenes from Montana

One of my favorite things about Montana is learning hospitality from a dear friend who decorates her table like this every Monday night to host her family for dinner.
When I grow up, I want to be JUST LIKE HER!!
Then there's her husband, who just happens to wake up and cook me breakfast of home-grown hashbrowns, Schmeckfest sausage, and farmer's eggs.  I was spoiled rotten.
If that doesn't prove it, this bag of banana chocolate chip cookies waiting for me when I got there should. . .all for me!!  Needless to say, I brought some home with me!
Or maybe it was the waffles with home-made coconut ice cream and bacon. . .
I got a little taste of snow while I was there

If you ever FLY to Glasgow, this is the airplane you sit in.  And, yes, it's a commercial plane.
Incredible views the morning I left

The sun waking up Fort Peck

And, just about to Billings, seeing the Rockies in the distance
Yup. . .the view of the runway is like this, just like the pilots.
The beautiful sunrise that met me at the airport that morning in Glasgow.  That water tower is a familiar view ever since I was little.
I also enjoyed chatting and making ribbons with my friend.  Yet another fun memory of Glasgow.

Seattle Visit in October

Another visit to Seattle is behind me now, and I was able to spend some fun times & lots of giggles with my cute nieces.

Events included a delightful piano recital for G. . .
. . .dressed in her costume for October 31st. . .Anne of Green Gables . . .
. . .being a soccer fan for C's soccer game . . .

. . .and participating in the photo op of pumpkin carving. . .

. . .oh, and of course, a few antics from M. . .
I got there RIGHT as the trees were peaking all their best colors for fall

Always fun!
