Happy New Year!!!!

Well, almost happy new year. I have about 28 minutes left according to my clock, but I'm headed to bed, and will probably work tomorrow, but I HAD to share this with you!!!This is my cousin, Trevor, and his girlfriend, Kelly, and they were on my first flight of the day from SAN-SFO!! We were all shocked and excited to see one another (totally unplanned and a God-thing), and then I was able to buy them lunch before they left on their next flight to SEA via PDX. (For all you who don't know what those letters stand for, get a little airport culture and have a look at google! :o )
Anyway,
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's fixed!!! Feel free to enlarge pictures, make comments, etc. :o )

Christmas Day in Seattle

On the way to Seattle, there was a BEAUTIFUL sunset. I went to the cockpit and took some pictures.
When I got there, it was the end of the day, and the girls were tired, but HEY! We were together, and I was excited!

Merry Christmas!!!

My Current/Next Trip ID 1806 / Dec 25
IAD (D4) SEA (N16)

This is my Christmas Gift from God. I'm flying to Seattle today, a totally bless-the-socks-off-of-me kind of trip for Christmas day. My family is there! Not only that, but I just got back from Germany yesterday, and had to have EXACTLY 24 hours off. I landed yesterday and was off at 14:56. As you can see from my schedule, my check in time today is 14:56. Not a minute too early! THAT is a GOD-THING!!!

Fashionista

Ok, this girl is only 2 1/2 years old, and she still does better at accessorizing than I do!

Movies and a Picnic

Grandma and Grandpa Wilcox were invited over for a special movie night on Saturday. The rules: Dress up either Christmassy, in your PJ's, or BOTH. I think we all did quite well!
(No mistletoe necessary!! :o )
Coco thought Grandpa was pretty talented at flinging that ball on his hat around!
Then we settled downstairs with some munchies to watch the Muppet Christmas Carol.

Graci got into the spirit of things, too.
The evening ended with special bedtime stories with Grandma, read by the Christmas tree.

My Nieces

One of my favorite things about visiting with nieces. . .snuggles in sleep. . .
. . .by the light of the Christmas tree.
This grin is my favorite! Anytime you have a bad day, just look at this face!
The wonder of Christmas through a child's eyes.
Dr. CoCo checks out Shawntante's ear to make sure it's ok.
What a delight to have Spence and Michelle come for a visit!! Brief but sweet!
The girls were delighted, too!
These delightful little red shoes were a gift from Spence and Michelle. As you can see, once given they were RARELY separate from the givee! She even took them with her to bed!

She came up with this outfit on her own (with a little help using recycled ribbon from the above mentioned gift. ;o )
A cute smile with Oma.
Suggested style by big sister.

Special kisses!
Matching pink outfits, too!
Coco is a big helper with Graci, but Graci's still not too sure about all that help. . . .

Movie Night

At least, for you it is! Just some cute movies I took during our time together. ENJOY!

"Sisters, Sisters. . . ."

So, I was looking at my screensaver pictures this morning, and realized I had almost identical pictures. . .with opposite sisters! :o ) Cute, huh?!!

Christmas Cookie Exchange!!

On Saturday, my roommate hosted a Christmas cookie exchange, which I was only able to be a part of for about 1/2 hour or so before I left on a trip. My camera, however, stayed at the party!!!
The end results. . .a little blurry, but you get the idea!
The photographer who was kind enough to take the pictures! This is Emily's small group leader, and a friend of mine, too, now. She also was a missionary in Europe for a couple years, and we know some of the same people!! :o )

Welcome to Harper's Ferry, West Virginia!

So, when my roommate found out I wasn't working this morning, she asked me if I wanted to come with her and a friend, Jim, to Harper's Ferry. What I thought was going to be a village decorated for Christmas turned out to be a reenacted civil war town! A delightful place, to say the least. There was so much to see!

One of the most delightful things. . .there were people dressed up in period costumes! There were soldiers signing up to fight for the Union and tent camps.
There were young girls playing games in a field.
This lady was exquisitely dressed in her finery.
Even horses played a part!

Harper's Ferry was a key location for the civil war as it is where the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers meet, shown right here.
The railroad still goes right through here today! (We even saw Amtrak!)

Another important fact: Harper's Ferry is right near the middle of the Appalachian Trail, and I walked on it today!

This is Jefferson's Rock, where Thomas Jefferson stood on this location and said that it was worth crossing the Atlantic just for this scene. I'm not sure about that, but it was nice. And the company made it super fun!
