Happy Birthday, Schwester!!!

We've come a long way from this. . .
. . .to this!
(And I'm not just talking about our looks!)
You're a fantastic nurse,
a caring wife,
a loving mom,
and a great friend.
We are all blessed to have you in our lives.
May God continue to bless you and grow you up to be even more incredible than you are now.
I love you.

Surviving Zuerich

My last trip to Zuerich was a tough one, with delays due to weather, mechanical problems and kitchen problems lasting well over 7 hours of time. We ended up spending an extra day, even, because of the mechanical problem. These hilarious co-workers, however, kept me laughing and made the trip MUCH more bearable. :o ) Stephen sent these to me this morning, so I thought I'd share my favorite one with you all!

Pleased as Punch!

I must admit. . .I'm having a problem with pride right now. . .in my TOMATO PLANTS!!!I know I have nothing to do with them growing, but this is my little garden, and they're just as happy as clams right now. I am also growing some Basil, and some purple flowers. I just hope I get some good tomatoes and not just a lot of leaves! So far so good!
Oh, and there's a baby bunny that's decided he/she likes our backyard. She's tiny. I'm calling her Suzi Q. I tried to take a picture of her, but she was gone by the time I got my camera.

More Fun in Seattle

Coco's a big helper with Graci. . .usually. :o )Finally a sunny day so we could go to the park!
Graci enjoying being chauffeured.
So, whenever a door is closed, and Graci is looking for someone, she gets down on the floor and peeks under the door. It's really funny!!
These are all pretty explanatory. . .sharing the love before Shawntante had to fly back to IAD to go to work.

United's 85th Birthday

For United's celebration of 85 years, they painted one airplane in an older style. I got to fly on it to Seattle!

When the Parents are Away. . .

. . .the kiddies will play!! With Oma and Tante, that is. Shar and Ben left this morning for a trip, and we're babysitting for the rest of the week. Bring on the party!!That's it, Oma. Let them know who's boss!
As you can tell by the smiles, this is a VERY trying task!! :o )
Tea parties and heart to heart chats in the sunshine!
Nope, no fun at all.

Happy Mama's Day!!!

A quick tribute of fun pictures to the moms in my family. I love you all!!!

Another Destination: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

I added another place to my list. . .and this is the view out my window when I arrived at the hotel. We were only there for 28 short hours, much of which I spent trying to sleep but not managing very well.In the morning, I actually went out to the pool area and took these pictures.
Our hotel.
A couple shots taken during the "night" over Europe somewhere. . .
. . .and Greenland.
This is Leslie, another believer. The two of us have flown and shared together before. She was a huge blessing to have on this flight and "for such a time as this."
This is Abdel. He was the Arabic translator from the flight, and he took me under his wing the night we arrived so I could have someone to show me around.

A BEAUTIFUL sunrise this morning when we landed.

May Day in Zuerich

I spent my weekend in Zuerich again, and Saturday was a breath-taking, beautiful day there. The temperature was perfect, and the sky was incredible. These clouds. . .I think Jesus will come back one day with clouds looking similar to THIS.
As I was walking, I was thinking of my friend, Danny Plett, who just happened to be having a concert in Canada that evening.
He wrote a song a long time ago that was running through my head:
"The trumpet will sound on that festival day, and Jesus will come in the clouds.
He'll gather together His children that day and fly away."
I'm still praying for a few more "children" to realize they can be a part of His family before He decides to come back.
