🇨🇦 Canada Family Visit🇨🇦

You've got to love it when family members are going on a cruise from Galveston and check to see if we could do dinner.  How about dinner and a couple bedrooms, plus a ride down to the port?  What a blessing to see them!

In case you wonder how baby and surgery go hand in hand...literally.
And since I'm her official paparazzi, Valentine's day photo shoot was a must!

This year Len bought me plants for V-day.  And we planted them before February 14th...welcome to Texas weather.

Back to the cousins from Canada visit, on their way back they had an extra day to hang out.  We took them to the Nasa Space Center
Since Len couldn't come, and I couldn't drive, my cousin, Simon, chauffeured us all!

So fun to interact with them!
I warned you I had a lot of pics of her!

Recon Rob

Over the course of the last year, we met someone who impacted us greatly.  The guy with the oxygen is Robert...one who dove into life with all he had.

He and his wife, Deborah, came to know Jesus in the last 2 years.  Talk about a hunger for learning!

So much so, in fact, that he was named an honorary Hellfighter (since his health didn't allow him to ride a motorcycle)

A few short days after this picture was taken, he finished his race and received a welcome home from Jesus.  Deborah remains within our community and is finding out her new normal.  Prayers for her appreciated.

Meeting Opa & Oma

Mom and Dad came down to "help me" after surgery.   As these pictures clearly show, they enjoyed someone more than me....

While they were here, we had a cold front that actually allowed us to light a fire!
I think this is the 5th?? Time in the last 11 years that we actually lit one.

To Surgery--and Beyond!

On January 9th, I had surgery to repair 2 tears in my rotator cuff.  On January 19th, Len and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary.

Nothing too exciting.  Still trying to recover from surgery.
The hardest part has been not able to help much with this little one

Thankfully she just likes to be near us.
Last year my MIL gave me this cape for Christmas.   It came in real handy during some chilly days in January
Another friend lent me a bell to call for help after surgery.  Len didn't like that very much.
The early morning of surgery

This was a picture of how I felt for a while...

Family Christmas

If you don't like baby pictures, stop now.  Because we have A LOT of them!

Christmas Eve was spent in Texas long enough to enjoy our candlelight service at church
Then we hopped on a plane to Seattle and got there just before midnight.
In honor of teenagers who don't like their pictures shared in public, I share pics of the "kid" who doesn't care...
He even invited himself into our family picture by the tree

I guess he's cute enough to stay in the pics
Our short visit lasted until Saturday morning, where we went to the airport and waited 6 hours to get on a plane.
BUT, our waiting was with it when God blessed us with first class!

It was a beautiful evening to fly

The next morning we got ready for Christmas with the Dentons
The oldest and the youngest
