A Victim of a Fire

This past Saturday was a ride with the Hellfighters again

This time to a very specific destination for a few hours
You see, on March 30th, the day before Easter, THIS happened...

So, why did the HF group go?  Because last year (and multiple previous years), the 24 year old that got injured had volunteered his time to come help cook for the Sturgis Mission Trip and the HF ministry group from all over the country.  He is a lover of Jesus, a lover of people, and just an all around great guy.  Please join us in praying for his long road to recovery.  Here he is (on the right) last summer in Sturgis.

Necessary Renovations

You know those times when you have to spend a ton of money on something?  Well, we just had to do that because part of our backyard fence fell during a storm.  The fence was on it's last leg anyway, but still.  Here are the before pictures.

And, with the fence gone, we had a pretty big back yard...and a swing set!
I love the look of the new fence...so fresh and it smells super good (if you like the smell of cedar)
Unfortunately, that was not the end of the necessary renos.  This just happened in our kitchen this past week, when my husband was sitting at the kitchen table and he heard a loud pop.
And then there was a second area that followed suit
After a plumber came to check for leaks (which we are thankful there are none), we have to figure out what else is going on.  And eventually will be fixing this too.

Happy Easter!

Lot's going on in our lives, but we had too much fun sharing the celebration with this beautiful family that we couldn't NOT post these!
We arrived a wee bit late, but just in time for the anticipated activity.  An Easter Egg hunt for ALL (and I do mean all) ages

My cousin, Simon, joined as a spectator
Our beautiful hostess
. . .and my hubby attacking our host. . .
With what?  Oh, didn't I mention that?!!
CONFETTI EGGS!!!

A love for Jesus, a love for family, a love for fun, a love for animals.  These guys speak our language.
That morning, I read this and just HAD to share it here, mostly for my own memory.
I hope you had a blessed Easter celebration!
