Ready for Christmas

Christmas trees for MILES!!
@ IAH airport
Ok, a little Thanksgiving deco, too, but who's keeping track?!!
I call these "redneck balls" made by my father in law
Our new wreath replacement from a home-made one last year
Outside at night. . .

. . .and inside at night

Special Visits

Ain't friends THE BEST?!!  These 2 from our church have become dear friends over the last months.
These precious ones have been friends since before I was born!
This represents friends who cooked catfish for my dad because they knew he loved it
These were new friends I met on the airplane from BFA when I brought them home to their parents for Christmas last week!

A New Addition

So, Len has had a dream to own a motorcycle for the last 30 years or so.  This is about as close as he came to that dream (a picture from our niece, M, for his birthday)
Or this. . .a seat on a bucket
Or a helmet?
Until one day we were at the grocery store and a gentleman saw our sweatshirts.  They said Hellfighters on it, a group of gospel sharing motorcyclists from our church.  He asked about them, thinking they were probably from a motorcycle club of some sort, then told us about his motorcycle that he could no longer ride.  Then he offered to sell it to Len!!
Well, guess what?  Long story short, Len had a dream come true.  And here's the sweatshirt that started it all.  I have a VERY happy man!

A Cousin's Wedding Reception

My cousin, Karyn, got married in Germany, but had a reception in Texas, so we got to go!
Her Canadian grandparents, also adopted parents of mine, got to be there, too!

Nice to represent the bride's family!

Skylines

These pretty much speak for themselves

And my man turned 51!

Seattle, WA

This view is how you tell in an airplane that you are close to Seattle!  Mt. Rainier
 Made it!
Walking to school with SUCH COLORS!!

Teddy and I were a little sad during the days when all the girls went to school.

My absolute favorite. . .click on it to see the detail
Of course, got to see a few soccer games, too!

Beautiful view of fall colors from the airplane again

Bozeman, MT

My first taste of fall was a trip to Bozeman.  Beautiful!  It even snowed for a minute!

Showing my Texas husband that THIS is what fall is supposed to look like!
Love that pop of color
I also got to visit a local  bakery there. . .yummy food

Visiting Lima, Peru

I got another chance to go to Lima, Peru, and this time made it down to the ocean!

This guy amazed me. . .in his 70's or 80's and still catching a wave!
Not fun beaches to walk barefoot on. . .ouch!!

Not the most welcoming sign to see??!!
Apparently there's some famous surfers from Peru!
The walk from and back to my hotel was steep and full of close to 300 stairs!
The hotel I stayed at.
The view from my hotel room. . .I walked down to that pier with all the blue roofs.
The cliffs I had to climb.
Oh my goodness!  Do you see them??!!
I would NOT want this job!!
A fun visit!
