All Things Brussels-ian

What a delight it was to finally add another destination to my list of places I've flown to! This time, it was Brussels, Belgium. Although I had been there in high school, I didn't remember anything in particular about the city or it's delights. Fortunately, I had a tour guide in the form of the French language flight attendant, who was willing to show me around a bit. Here are some things that we experienced:
Belgian lace: this was the closest I got to it. It was EXPENSIVE!!
Belgian Waffles: DECADENT!
Belgian Chocolate: An appropriately named store explains it all.
Belgian Beer: This flavor happens to be cherry. It's PINK! I don't like beer, so I didn't try it, but it was PINK! I had to take a picture.
Belgian Frites: French Fries with Mayonnaise. . .lots of yummy greasiness! These next pictures were taken from the "Grand Place" in the center of old town, one of the most famous locations in Brussels. They were taken of the same buildings at two different times of day. Which do you like best?

J.A.L.E.

Every once in a while, God gives me just a little encouragement (J.A.L.E). This week, it was visiting with my sweet friend, Carly, in Seattle on New Year's Day, and meeting with my small group tonight. He is good, and knows just what I need when I need it.
