12 Years Ago Today

Today was the day I entered the training center at United to fulfill my dream.  I was ecstatic!

The best part was the friends I made along the way.  One of them, Debee, was able to attend my wedding a little over a month ago!

It's been a roller-coaster ride of good, bad and ugly, but God has been faithful through it all and I am very blessed to work where I do.

TSO Concert in December!

Right before Christmas, Len and I enjoyed a much anticipated Christmas date to see Trans Siberian Orchestra.  Len had never been to one of their concerts, and I had never seen a Christmas version.  We were not at all disappointed!!

This song is always a Christmas favorite of mine.  Click here to enjoy it!

Bogota, Colombia!

Right before I got married, I had my last trip as a single woman to a new destination, Bogota!  I didn't do a whole lot, but walked around town and saw some interesting buildings and such.

A nice park and sitting area in the middle of the city.

Crazy window cleaners on this REALLY tall building!!  I would NOT like that job!

Many of the curbs were at least 3 feet tall. . .you can't tell from this picture, but that step is a big one!

When we got there, we had breakfast in the hotel, and, unbeknownst to me, the Spanish speaking flight attendant told them this was my last trip before getting married.  The hotel staff came and surrounded the table and presented me with this!
Super sweet!

Honeymoon Travel--Part I

Our first part of our trip started in Austin,
where we were greeted with a beautiful moon
. . .and beautiful sunset, too

The next day we went to see the State Capitol building, a first for my Texas man

 The senate room

The story of this WWII soldier was fascinating, I thought.
I had to take a picture of former governor Perry, 'cause he was a passenger on my airplane once.
Look out, Texas!!  A Montana girl is taking office!!
