I was able to have a trip to Santiago, Chile this month, which was a first for me! Those are getting pretty rare after almost 11 years of flying!
Walking into the hotel was pretty fabulous. . .
Then one of my flying partners invited me to the executive club on the 23 floor so I could take pictures of the city.
Then I was told to go to the park behind the hotel where I would find some beautiful roses. So, I did! And I did!
These roses that grow bunched together were incredible. . . I didn't know Leonardo had a rose!
The garden from the edge. There were actually 4 "squares" of roses in the park, each of them with different varieties. I could bore you all day with pictures I took, but those are my highlights.
Of course, I saw this mountain, too. . . .
. . .but was a little distracted by the loud music and hundreds of people doing Zumba for 2 hours right next to the rose garden!
I continued to walk through the park
These flowers looked like hot chili peppers!
Oh, and one more rose bunch. . .
. . .on a bush that was LOADED with roses!
I then went inside the mall next to the hotel. . .which went on for a LONG time. The Christmas decorations were cool!
A ride-able ferris wheel
A Christmas tree--3 stories high!
A mini-Cooper. . .FOR KIDS!!! Jealous!
Well, I didn't see much beyond that this time, but I want to go back and do some more exploring! It was kind of funny because all the people I came across who were trying to speak with me started in Spanish first!! I guess I have the coloring??!!
