My wish was to put my toes in the water on the beach. Here's the proof.
And here's why it was only toes. Jellyfish were everywhere so swimming was not recommended.
It also didn't help that the air was filled with smoke from fires in Ontario, Canada.

The next day we went to the Bible Museum, a first for Len, a 2nd for me after many years.
Pieces from the dead sea scrolls were a part of one of the seasonal displays. This was one of the jars they were found in.

They also had a special display for the 250th birthday of the United States and how the Bible played a roll in deciding the direction it would go.
After the museum we went to a rotating restaurant for dinner and saw this beautiful double rainbow
The end looked like it was just across the road
Because of the rain, the view cleared of the smoke, an answer to a prayer I had prayed that morning

The whole time I lived near DC, I never had a chance to visit the monuments at night.
Since we were within minutes of sunset, we took advantage of the sights.
It was a good weekend. And when we came home, my beautiful roses my hubby gave me for my birthday were at their peak.
