Especially for Grandparents
Its that time again, where aunties get to go visit their nieces! And, I must say, visiting mine is sheer delight!
This is a toy that Opa bought her for Christmas. She likes it!
She's checking me out to make sure I'm alright.
I guess I'm alright!
She was showing off with her mommy in the sunshine, doing a little pat-a-cake.

Living Vicariously through Ling
So, I told you before that I had more pictures from my last Sydney trip, but that my roommate, who came the day after me, had most of them on her camera. I've finally gotten a hold of those pics, and I'll share them with you!
This is Ling, one of my roommates. She is known as my "crashpadder", which means she uses my apartment for a hotel room when she's in town.
I asked her to take a picture of my hand and this leaf just to show how HUGE the leaf was!
Anyone want some UGG'S? For those of you who don't know what these are, they're like slippers, only they're boots. They are often worn by surfers after surfing to provide instant heat after the cold water. They're also a fashion statement. I don't own a pair, so, alas, I'm NOT into the fashion statement. :o )
So, if you notice the above pictures, these were all taken when I was there, and it was cold and cloudy. The next day, however, when I had to leave, Ling was able to have a gorgeous day to sightsee! These are her pictures from that day.
Her traveling partner that day was Hoy, another flight attendant based in SFO.
Cool picture of the reflections of the buildings in city center.

Frankfurt in January
I had another trip to Frankfurt, actually only one day after mom and dad left on the same plane! It was cold and crisp there, but quite enjoyable for me, who has had very little interaction with such since living in California. I was quite pleased!!
I then woke up too early, but, when I opened my curtains, I saw THIS! Amazing. Click on the picture to make it look bigger and see the full effect!

What I looked at while sitting in my room.

You can barely see them, but there were little jet streams lit up all over the sky. It was pretty cool!

Mom and Dad Visit!
When I arrived back from Sydney, Mom and Dad were waiting for me in SFO to spend a couple days with me before heading back to Germany after 3 months of furlough. Whew!

I just dropped them off at the airport this morning, and, not really thinking about it, was able to take a picture of their airplane on my way back to the parking lot. They got to sit in business class, so that's great for an 11 hour flight!

And here it is again, only from another side. They're seated right in front of that second door in the middle of the airplane.

Sydney for New Years!
I was able to head to Sydney again on the 31st, which actually meant that my New Years Day did not exist this year, as I arrived in Sydney on Jan. 2nd!

I had a great time there, especially because I was able to have my roommate with me, who had never been to Sydney before. She took all the pictures, so I'll post them when I get them, but here's a cool fountain that was just a couple minutes from our hotel.
